About the Owner
Hello! I am Rebecca Taylor and I have been baking for 10 years professionally and 18 years total.
I graduated college with a Baking and Pastry degree in 2016 and a Food Consumer Packaged Goods Marketing degree during the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
All my life I have worked in bakeries and haven't had any other type of job because why would I? Baking is my life! I wanted to have a job that I loved and was still able to stay home and take care of my kids, which led me to start Lake Country Cakes. I have lived in the Lake Country area all my life and love every aspect of it and want to provide my pastries to the area that I adore so much. In 2019 I had my amazing son and decided to be a stay at home mom, in 2022 I had my beautiful baby girl who is my mini me, and In 2024 I bought my first house and opened up my own bakery attached to it!
